# Event Licenses

The **State of San Andreas** requires **Event Licenses** for public gatherings, large-scale activities, and private events that may impact **public safety, traffic, or local regulations**. These licenses help ensure **crowd control, emergency preparedness, and legal compliance** while allowing event organizers to operate smoothly within the law.

***

### **Types of Event Licenses**

#### **Public Event License**

Required for **any event open to the public**, including concerts, parades, protests, fairs, or other large gatherings.

* **Security plans must be submitted** detailing how crowd control, medical emergencies, and public disturbances will be handled.
* **Permits may include restrictions** on noise levels, operating hours, or alcohol consumption.
* **Traffic control plans** must be provided if road closures or detours are necessary.

#### **Private Venue Event License**

Applies to **large private events** held at venues such as **hotels, clubs, banquet halls, or outdoor spaces** where public access is restricted.

* **Venue occupancy limits** must be followed.
* Events involving **alcohol service** require an **additional alcohol permit**.
* Noise restrictions **must comply with local ordinances**, unless a **Temporary Noise Ordinance Exemption** is granted.

#### **Street Closure & Parade Permit**

Required for **events that block public streets, sidewalks, or intersections**, including **parades, block parties, and festivals**.

* **Must coordinate with local law enforcement and public works** to set up detours.
* Event organizers must provide **a clean-up plan** for public spaces.
* If vehicles or floats are involved, additional **safety inspections may be required**.

#### **Demonstration & Protest Permit**

Ensures **public safety and legal protections** for **organized demonstrations, marches, and protests** in compliance with **free speech laws**.

* Organizers must provide **a proposed route and estimated attendance**.
* If blocking roads, **traffic control measures must be in place**.
* Law enforcement presence **may be assigned based on the nature of the demonstration**.

#### **Fireworks & Pyrotechnic Display Permit**

Required for **fireworks shows, special effects, or pyrotechnic displays** at concerts, sporting events, or other celebrations.

* Must be **approved by fire safety officials**.
* Operators must be **licensed pyrotechnicians**.
* Safety protocols must include **fire suppression measures**.

***

### **Temporary Noise Ordinance Exemption**

Some events may **exceed normal noise levels** due to live music, public speaking, or entertainment. A **Temporary Noise Ordinance Exemption** may be granted under the following conditions:

* The event **must have an approved Event License** before applying for a noise exemption.
* Noise levels must be **measured and monitored** to prevent excessive disturbances.
* The event must take place **within designated hours** (typically between **8 AM - 11 PM** unless special approval is granted).
* Events near **residential areas** may require **community notification and approval**.
* Violations of the noise exemption may result in **fines, event shutdowns, or future permit restrictions**.

Applications for a noise exemption must be submitted **at least 7 days before the event** and approved by the relevant **municipal or county office**.

***

### **Application Process**

To obtain an **Event License**, applicants must:

1. **Submit an application** with event details, location, expected attendance, and safety measures.
2. **Pass a background check** if applicable.
3. **Obtain additional approvals** for events with alcohol, fireworks, or street closures.
4. **Pay all required fees** for processing and permits.

Licenses must be **secured at least 14 days before the event** to ensure proper coordination with **law enforcement, emergency services, and municipal authorities**.

***

### **Revocation and Penalties**

An **Event License may be revoked** if:

* The event **exceeds approved crowd size** or **violates safety regulations**.
* Organizers fail to provide **adequate security, crowd control, or emergency response measures**.
* The event results in **excessive public disturbances, property damage, or illegal activity**.

Violators may face **fines, event shutdowns, or restrictions on future permits**.
