# MCC 4 – Illegal Gambling

**Offense Classification:** Misdemeanor

**Definition:**\
Illegal Gambling occurs when a person under 18 engages in gambling, or when any individual engages in gambling in public streets, sidewalks, or unauthorized locations outside of licensed casinos or government-approved venues.

**Elements of the Crime:**

* The suspect participated in gambling activities.
* The gambling took place in an unauthorized or public location.
* The suspect was under 18, or the venue was unlicensed.

**Penalties:**

* Jail Time: Up to 25 Months
* Fine: $500

**Related Charges:**

* \[3] 24 – Disorderly Conduct
* \[1] 12 – Fraud (if tied to rigged games)
