# Introduction to Wildlife Law

**Purpose and Scope**

Wildlife laws in San Andreas regulate **hunting and fishing activities** to ensure sustainability, protect species, and enforce responsible use of natural resources. These laws aim to:

* **Manage wildlife populations** by enforcing seasonal hunting and fishing limits.
* **Protect restricted species** from illegal hunting or overharvesting.
* **Regulate licensing requirements** to ensure only authorized individuals can hunt or fish.
* **Designate legal hunting and fishing zones** to prevent overuse of specific areas.
* **Provide enforcement mechanisms** for violations related to illegal hunting and fishing.

**Legal Authority and Enforcement**

**Law Enforcement Officers (LEOs)** are responsible for enforcing wildlife regulations. These officers:

* Issue and regulate **hunting and fishing licenses**.
* Monitor compliance with **bag limits and seasonal restrictions**.
* Investigate **illegal hunting, fishing, and poaching**.
* Impose penalties, including **citations, fines, or arrests** for violations.

**General Hunting and Fishing Regulations**

To comply with wildlife laws in San Andreas, all individuals must adhere to the following:

* **Hunting and fishing require a valid license** issued by the appropriate authority.
* **Certain species are fully protected and cannot be harvested**.
* **Hunting and fishing must occur in designated legal zones** as determined by law.
* **Exceeding bag limits or hunting out of season is illegal**.
* **Poaching, trapping, or harming wildlife in restricted areas is punishable by law**.

By following these regulations, individuals help **preserve wildlife populations and ensure fair and legal hunting and fishing practices**. Violations will result in **legal penalties**, detailed in later sections of this title.
